Şeyma Yılmaz
Chair of SPECPOL
Şeyma Yılmaz is a sophomore at Atatürk University studying English Language Teaching (ELT). A dedicated scholar of international relations and regional geopolitics, she believes that global affairs are deeply intertwined with language, history, and culture. Her academic background is distinguished by her previous tenure as the Board Chair for the UNFCCC and her Erasmus experience, which broadened her international perspective. Beyond her academic studies, Şeyma is an active member of the Turkic World Research Community under the Erzurum Center for Diplomatic Studies and the PELTA student club.
As the Chair of SPECPOL, she encourages delegates to look beyond the "heavy burdens" of global issues and find strength in collective action. She invites every participant to take up the flag of humanity and contribute to the great resolutions that history remembers. Şeyma is committed to fostering a rigorous and diplomatically sound environment for all delegates.

Osman Ekin Sözer
Co-Chair of SPECPOL
Osman Ekin Sözer is a senior student in the Department of German Language and Literature at Atatürk University. He brings a unique blend of technical precision and diplomatic experience to the academic board, having been involved in TÜBİTAK projects and robotics competitions since his high school years.
Throughout his university life, Osman Ekin has taken on active leadership roles in various student organizations. Building on his successful tenure as a Co-Chair for the UNFCCC committee in the previous MUN conference at our university, he now returns as the Co-Chair of the SPECPOL committee. His analytical background and previous experience in multilateral diplomacy make him a valuable asset in guiding delegates through the intricate political issues on the agenda. He wishes all participants fruitful debates and a highly successful conference experience.
Meryem İnce
Co-Chair of SPECPOL
Meryem İnce is a distinguished member of the academic board, serving as the Co-Chair of the SPECPOL committee for AUMUN 2026. Bringing a wealth of leadership experience to the dais, she previously served as the Chair of the SOCHUM committee, where she demonstrated her expertise in managing complex humanitarian and social deliberations.
This year, Meryem transitions into the strategic and multifaceted atmosphere of Special Political and Decolonization (SPECPOL). Her primary objective is to foster a committee environment that balances rigorous academic discipline with a sincere exchange of ideas.
