Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and MUN Enthusiasts, 

I am Çağla DAĞLI. As the Secretary-General of the Atatürk University Model United Nations (AUMUN'26) conference, it is with great honor and excitement that I welcome you, on behalf of our entire Secretariat, to this prestigious platform of diplomacy and global dialogue.

Our months of meticulous preparation have had one singular goal: to create a forum where your ideas can translate into concrete, meaningful action, and where you can freely express your vision. This conference offers an unparalleled opportunity to discover and hone your core competencies, ranging from public speaking and in-depth research to teamwork and crisis management.

As you step into the shoes of decision-makers, you will navigate the turbulent waters of the global economy, debate the critical balances of disarmament and international security, defend the struggles for independence and the sovereign rights of nations, and profoundly question the ethical values that lie at the very foundation of diplomacy. The multidimensional global challenges you face will test your diplomatic acumen and pragmatic approach. Our primary mission this year is to foster a culture of diplomacy that can transcend conventional boundaries, adapt to the rapidly shifting dynamics of our world, and, most importantly, generate "realistic" solutions.

To our first-time delegates taking this bold step, I extend my heartfelt congratulations; we are here to help you unlock your true potential. To our returning, experienced delegates, I say "welcome back," and I eagerly anticipate the vision your expertise will bring to your respective debates. I also offer my deepest gratitude to our esteemed faculty advisors for their invaluable guidance in directing their students through this journey.

As you enter the final stages of your preparations, keep this truth in mind: while facts and data shape the negotiations, it is your passion that will determine the legacy you leave in that room.
