1. Do I need prior MUN experience to attend AUMUN'26?
Not at all! We welcome delegates of all experience levels. Our committee study guides and pre-conference training materials are carefully designed to help first-time participants feel confident and ready to debate.
2. What is the dress code for the conference?
Strict Western Business Attire (WBA) or National Attire is mandatory for all academic sessions and official ceremonies. To maintain the professional atmosphere of the conference, we strictly adhere to the following guidelines:
Color Palette: For WBA, all suits, blazers, and trousers must be in Black or Navy Blue.
Professional Standard: For gentlemen, a formal suit or blazer with a collared dress shirt and tie is required.
Length & Style: For ladies, professional suits, blazers with trousers, or formal dresses/skirts are required. Please note that all dresses and skirts must be at or below knee-length.
National Attire: Delegates are permitted and encouraged to wear the traditional national costume of the country they represent, provided it maintains a formal and respectful standard.
Restrictions: Casual wear, denim, or any attire outside the specified color palette (unless it is National Attire) is not permitted.
3. What is the official language of the conference?
It depends on your committee. In the committees except ECOFIN and Crisis; delegates are expected to deliver their speeches, conduct negotiations, and draft all official documents (such as Position Papers and Resolutions) in English. ECOFIN and Crisis are fully Turkish-speaking committees for delegates who prefer to debate and draft resolutions in their native language.
4. When and where should I submit my Position Paper?
Position papers must be submitted to your respective Committee Director via email. The official deadline and the specific committee email addresses will be announced on our social media channels and sent directly to accepted delegates.
5. Do I need to speak fluent English to attend? Are there any Turkish committees?
While the primary working language of AUMUN'26 is English, we believe language should not be a barrier to diplomacy! We proudly offer two fully Turkish-speaking committees for delegates who prefer to debate and draft resolutions in their native language. You can easily select one of our Turkish committees when filling out your application form.
